The ice cream tasted fine, albeit a bit icy (caused by melting and refreezing ice cream), but this is just weird considering it probably saves about 15 seconds of time per bowl at best.All in all, an ok experience, but despite the good tasting chicken I still left with a bad taste in my mouth after feeling like we were shortchanged. Finicky Frank's is a 'hole in the wall' restaurant in Omaha. Furthermore, when the ice cream was brought out, it was apparent that the ice cream had been scooped into a bowl way earlier (as in, days earlier), allowed to partially melt, and then stuck in a freezer in the serving bowl, only to be brought out directly from the freezer and served with the originally melted bit of the ice cream now frozen solid at the bottom of the bowl. When we asked about potentially having a little bit more of one of the sides, given that there were so many of us, we were instead told that the chef decides how much of each side to give and that the amount given (even though it was no more than if only one chicken plate had been ordered this was confirmed by the party of two seated next to us that received exactly the same in terms of sides) was enough. Despite doing so, we only received a single serving size of each side dish even though we were also charged an extra $3 per person to split each order (so an additional $9 total just to bring three empty plates to the table).
